Mercy Killing

 Introduction: 

An easy or painless death, or the intentional ending of the life of a person suffering from an incurable or painful disease at his or her request. Also called euthanasia.

Euthanasia is a practice or an act by which a person suffering from painful and incurable disease is put to death in order to end the suffering of that person.


History of Mercy Killing:

In 1935, when C. Killick Millard found a society called Voluntary Euthanasia Legislation Society, which later on came to be known as Euthanasia society. This society organized a movement to legalize Euthanasia in 1935. However, the Bill failed in the House of Lords in 1936. The morally accuracy of Euthanasia is traceable from the time of Plato, Aristotle and Stoics.

There is various classification based on it and they are as follows-:

Voluntary Euthanasia 

Non-Voluntary Euthanasia 

Involuntary Euthanasia 

Physical-Assisted Suicide
